Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Evans Transport International ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services

We provide road transport and logistics services including but not limited to:

  • Full load and part load haulage
  • Temperature-controlled food distribution
  • International removals
  • Events transport and storage facilities

2. Quotations and Bookings

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated
  • Bookings are subject to vehicle availability
  • Prices may be adjusted if cargo details differ from the original quote
  • A booking is confirmed upon receipt of our written acceptance

3. Payment Terms

  • Payment terms are typically 30 days from invoice date unless otherwise agreed
  • We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue payments at 8% above Bank of England base rate
  • New customers may be required to pay in advance or provide credit references

4. Liability and Insurance

Our services are provided in accordance with the RHA Conditions of Carriage (2009) and CMR Convention for international transport where applicable. Key points include:

  • We maintain appropriate goods in transit insurance
  • Liability is limited to £1,300 per tonne unless higher value declared and additional insurance purchased
  • Claims must be notified in writing within 7 days of delivery
  • We are not liable for delays due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control

5. Customer Responsibilities

As a customer, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about goods, weight, dimensions, and special requirements
  • Ensuring goods are properly packed and labelled
  • Providing suitable access for loading/unloading at collection and delivery points
  • Ensuring all necessary customs documentation for international shipments
  • Not tendering dangerous, prohibited, or illegal goods without prior written agreement

6. Cancellations and Changes

  • Cancellations must be made in writing
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before scheduled collection may incur a cancellation fee
  • Changes to booking details should be communicated as soon as possible

7. Complaints and Disputes

We aim to provide excellent service. If you have a complaint, please contact us in writing within 7 days. We will investigate and respond within 28 days. Any disputes will be governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of English courts.

8. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to such processing and warrant that all data provided is accurate.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and apply to all bookings made after the posting date.
